
Miranda Lambert shared a sweet story of love and support as she honored a grieving bandmate during her show in Miami over the weekend.
The award winning singer, 41, who is currently on tour, opening up for Morgan Wallen, revealed a special moment with a member of her troupe.
‘My friend and background vocalist @gwensebastian recently lost her dad,’ Lambert revealed in an emotional post on Sunday.
‘Last night I forgot my belt, and she told me that she had just happened to pack an extra…it was her father’s and had his name on it,’ she said of the coincidence.
‘What an an honor to wear that last night in Miami. Love you Gwennie!!’ the Wranglers artist wrote next to a carousel of photos of herself wearing the belt along with a snap of her and Sebastian sharing the mic onstage.
‘He was up there pickin and singing along. Love you my friend,’ Sebastian wrote in response.

According to his obituary, Gerald Sebastian was an accomplished musician among other talents.
Friends who knew Sebastian’s dad also offered their take on what they considered support from another plane.
‘Gerald is smiling down at y’all,’ wrote the sister duo Tigirlily Gold.
‘Long live the memory of Gerald,’ said artist Caylee Hammack.
‘He put the “Gerald” in “Geraldene” last night. love this!!’ wrote a fan.
‘Sounds like an honor to wear her belt w/ her dad’s name. Sending prayers to @gwensebastian. Her dad is most certainly around in spirit!’ contended another.
Lambert got some pushback from her fans earlier this year when she revealed she would be one of the guest performers on Wallen’s I’m The Problem tour.
The Whiskey Glasses singer created negative headlines when he was caught on video uttering a racial slur after a night of drinking with his pals in 2021.

In April 2024, the Spin You Around singer was arrested for throwing a chair off the roof of a Nashville bar and pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment.
He was sentenced to two years of parole and seven days of DUI education.
In March, he garnered headlines for abruptly leaving before the end of the show after his performance on Saturday Night Live.
He posted a photo of a private jet on social media, explaining he needed it to ‘Get me to God’s country,’ and later explained he was ‘just ready to go home,’ according to NBC News.
All appears to be forgiven. Fans shared their enthusiasm after Lambert posted a video of herself and Wallen singing a duet of his song Cowgirls on June 30.

Lambert is using her platform to help victims of the recent deadly Texas floods, specifically those with four legs via her non-profit organization Mutt Nation.
‘Just wanted to jump on here and say how devastated we are to hear about the floods in south and central Texas. I can’t even come up with any words for the loss that everybody’s suffering, the Mama’s Broken Heart artist wrote July 5 on social media.
‘MuttNation Foundation is working really closely with Kerrville Pets Alive as we speak to try to get more info and figure out where the needs are to support the pet community and pet owners in the disaster. We will have more info as it goes, but I’ll post everything that I know to post right now.’
She then encouraged fans who going to ‘join with us and try to help out as much as you can and keep sending prayers,’ adding, ‘I’ll keep you posted.’
