
A man has died after he became trapped following the collapse of a trench at a worksite.
Emergency services were called to the site on Quinns Road in Kilmore, 65km north of Melbourne about 11.30am on Friday.
Aerial footage shared by Seven News depicted a range of emergency responders at the scene, including police and fire crews.
Victoria Police confirmed a man died at the scene, but did not release further details.

WorkSafe confirmed it would investigate the incident
A report will be prepared for the coroner and WorkSafe officials will investigate the incident.
‘Ambulance Victoria responded to calls to an incident in Kilmore at around 11:15am today (13 June),’ an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
A WorkSafe spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia it had been notified and ‘inspectors and investigators are responding’.
Victoria has so far recorded 25 confirmed workplace deaths this year, according to WorkSafe Victoria.
Last week, it reported a 62-year-old man had died after falling from 2.5metres from a metal stillage raised by forklift tines.
He suffered serious head injuries before dying in hospital.
