A Hollywood movie producer has come forward with explosive claims that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs tried to sexually assault him at a gym, leading to a violent, naked brawl.
Actor and film exec James Cummings, 57, said the incident took place in 2002, when he and the music mogul, 55, were alone in a steam room of an LA Fitness in Los Angeles.
He ultimately fought against the rapper’s aggressive sexual advances, but the disturbing encounter left him shaken and humiliated, he told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.
The shocking account comes amid Diddy’s New York sex trafficking and racketeering trial that has now entered its sixth week. Combs has denied all charges.
Cummings, a friend of actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, who starred in his 1999 crime thriller Southie, said he knew Combs’s mentor, late record executive Andre Harrell, and had been previously introduced to Diddy by his real name, Sean.
Recalling the gym encounter, he described how the incident quickly unfolded when he entered the room.

Producer and actor James Cummings has accused Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of aggressively propositioning him in the steam room of an LA gym in 2002; the rapper is pictured at the Grammys the same year of the alleged attack

Speaking to DailyMail.com exclusively, Cummings, a friend of actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, said up until then he had met Diddy through late record executive Andre Harrell
‘I walk into the steam room. He looks at me,’ Cummings said. ‘I look at him too, but I don’t think nothing, because I’d seen him a few times.
‘All of a sudden, he stands and reaches up like he’s touching the ceiling. He bows towards me and next thing you know his fingers are on my legs.
‘He’s got these Tootsie Roll fingers, long thumbs and white fingernails.
‘I grabbed the dude. I said, “Hey, yo, stop this.” Then he runs at me and tries to tackle me. It was f***ing weird.
‘He’s on me, and he’s trying to suck my d**k, even though I’m fighting with him, trying to get him off of me.
‘I punch him in the face and throw him off of me. I shout, “What’s the matter with you?”

The alleged incident took place in October 2002, when the two were alone in a steam room of an LA Fitness on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles

In a video shared with DailyMail.com, Cummings filmed himself returning to the scene of the alleged encounter, recounting how it unfolded in the now-defunct steam room and escalated into a naked brawl in the men’s bathroom
‘He comes at me again so I grab him by the neck and nail him a couple more times.
‘I drag him out of the steam room and I slam him up against the wall. I’m naked. He’s naked. I hit him a couple more times until he’s laying on the ground.
‘I throw a towel on and run to the front desk yelling “that rapper guy tried to suck my c**k”.
‘They all follow me up to the steam room. And like Cinderella, all that’s left are his sneakers. He took his clothes and ran out the back door.’
Cummings said the staff told him Diddy was not a member at the gym but would regularly pay cash to hang out in the steam room there.
‘They told me he doesn’t work out, he pays with cash and he comes and goes,’ the Hollywood movie maker said.
Cummings said the next time he saw Diddy was 14 years later at LA steakhouse Boa.
‘I see someone walking toward me. He’s got a tux on. It’s P. Diddy,’ he said.
‘We lock eyes, and when he sees me he banks left and cuts across the restaurant.
‘He knew who I was.’
Though Cummings says he is proud of fighting off the alleged predator, the attack left him ‘humiliated’.
‘I look at today, all the evil things he’s done to people, he tried to do that to me, and I beat him like the b***h that he is,’ he said.

Cummings, who is from South Boston, said Diddy’s alleged attack left him ‘depressed’, but due to his tough upbringing he felt unable to talk about it until years later

He is best known for writing the 1999 movie Southie set in the city, starring Donnie Wahlberg, Rose McGowan and Will Arnett
‘It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating. No matter how many times I play it over in my head, I could not have done anything different than what I did.
‘I had never had a situation where a man tackled me and then tried to put his mouth on my private parts.’
Last year, DailyMail.com revealed that Diddy had frequented a New York City bathhouse where he allegedly ‘cruised’ for male partners.
In an video interview with The Art of the Dialogue, Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal spoke about the record producer’s trips to the Russian and Turkish Baths in downtown Manhattan months before he was arrested for running a criminal enterprise.
Deal claimed his boss would secretly meet up with gay men in the steam rooms, sometimes three times a week.

Cummings and his wife Jennifer remain close friends with Donnie Wahlberg and the actor’s family

Jennifer, who is also an actress, was at the gym with him on the day of the alleged attack and witnessed the aftermath and its impact on her husband
The actor was brought up in South Boston, working from age 11 shining the shoes of mobsters including the infamous Whitey Bulger.
He is best known for writing the 1998 movie Southie set in the city, starring Donnie Wahlberg, Rose McGowan and Will Arnett.
‘When you wake up in the morning and you can’t get out of bed, and you don’t know why, it’s usually because something happened to you,’ he said.
‘But we’re talking 2002. I don’t think we were allowed to have feelings yet.’
Cummings’s wife Jennifer, 55, who was at the gym with him the day of the alleged attack, witnessed the aftermath and its impact on her husband.
‘I come out and there is all this commotion going on,’ she said.

The explosive allegations have surfaced as Diddy faces mounting legal troubles, including his ongoing trial in New York on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering
‘People are yelling. And I look over and I see my husband standing there, wet, red in a little white towel, screaming, “He attacked me, he tried to suck my d**k, I beat the s**t out of him”.’
Jennifer, an actress who has had roles in TV shows Friends, CSI Miami and the 2000 disaster movie The Perfect Storm, said James walked in a few days ago while she was watching TV coverage of Diddy’s trial, and was visibly affected by footage of the rapper attacking his girlfriend Cassie.
‘They were showing the Cassie video again. He goes, “That is exactly what I did to P Diddy when he attacked me in that steam room”.’
‘It messed with him,’ she said. ‘His eye starts twitching uncontrollably and he was sick to his stomach. The body doesn’t lie.’
Diddy is currently on trial for racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.
His criminal investigation has included delving into his past debauched parties dubbed ‘Freak Offs’, where he is said to have had filmed drug-fueled sex with other celebrities and employed male sex workers.
Diddy has denied wrongdoing and is fighting the case in court.
His lawyers did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
