Body language expert makes shock claim about state of Brad Pitt’s new relationship

Brad Pitt and his girlfriend made a rare appearance on the red carpet on Monday as they attended the F1 film premiere in New York City.

But a body language expert was quick to spot several tell-tale signs that his relationship with Ines de Ramon is ‘floundering.’ 

The couple, who have been dating since 2022, looked effortlessly chic at the premiere with Ines draped in sheer halter-neck white gown complete with a feathered skirt and Brad opting for a black double-breasted suit with a white button-up.

Brad, 61, who assumed a lead role in the film as fictional driver Sonny Hayes, and Ines, 32, put on a united display – but there could be more than meets the eye.

Because, according to body language expert Judi James, there are several indicators that all is not well including how Brad’s recent fashion shift could be an indication of a wider problem in his relationship, as she compared their look to George Clooney and Amal Clooney’s.

‘For this newest relationship, Brad seems to have opted for a George and Amal-looking vibe. 

‘Both dazzling-looking, elegant women are non-Hollywood and both are fiercely intelligent and successful in their own fields. 

‘Both men show signals of a more subdued presence with their women around as though it’s the intellect that is keeping them in a state of awe and respect. 

‘Unlike Clooney though, Brad also has a considerable age gap difference which seems to have created some wardrobe floundering that could reflect on his emotional approach,’ James told Daily Mail exclusively.

Both Brad and Ines were dressed to the nines on Monday, but according to body language expert Judi James, Brad’s recent fashion shift could be an indication of a wider problem in his relationship, as she compared their look to George and Amal Clooney’s

‘His recent outings have involved some dubious fashion choices that suggest he might be struggling with the age gap and keen to look relevant and edgy, when it might be better in relationship terms to see him finally bottoming out, finding his authentic place and relaxing into it with someone who appreciates it,’ she continued.

However, it’s not only the age gap that is the ‘problem’ in their latest red carpet appearance, James explained.

She noted that the couple seem to have very different styles in both thinking and taste, as they have a ‘lack of synchronicity.’ 

‘A more interesting challenge seems to be the acute contrast in Brad and Ines’s body language, which could suggest very different thinking styles and tastes,’ James divulged. 

‘This seems to have worked for the Clooney’s, who share a profound passion for campaigns and causes. But with Brad right now we’re just seeing a lack of synchronicity in terms of non-verbal signals,’ she shared.

‘He looks blissfully happy but also slightly ill at ease here.’

James explained that one way that their difference in thinking emerges is in their facial expressions on the red carpet.  

‘One look at their facial expressions as they pose together shows totally different styles of thinking,’ she shared.

‘Brad’s eyebrows are steepled, giving him a rather subdued and apologetic look. He appears keen to please. His posture and his gestures look unusually awkward, as though he’s trying to look gauche rather than like a Hollywood hard-hitter,’ James continued.

‘His hand pats the side of his leg to hint at some inner anxiety and the fingers are splayed rather than relaxed.’

‘A more interesting challenge seems to be the acute contrast in Brad and Ines’s body language, which could suggest very different thinking styles and tastes,’ James divulged

‘One look at their facial expressions as they pose together shows totally different styles of thinking,’ she shared

On the other hand, Ines gives off a different energy than Brad.  

‘Ines however has a very bold-straight brow-line to suggest confidence and calm,’ James said.

‘Her wide smile looks red-carpet perfect and her eye-engage with the cameras shows a lack of inhibitions or shyness. She turns her smile on as she faces the cameras rather than showing it primarily to Brad.’

On the red carpet, there was one specific moment that stood out to James, too – and that was when he poked out his tongue during one pose with her.  

‘His smile here, as he poses up for the cameras looks soft and apologetic while hers is a very assertive-looking baring of the teeth,’ James said.

‘When he looks at her the soft crinkling increases, suggesting genuine affection and some vulnerability, while she flashes upper and lower teeth in another teeth-baring, challenging-looking smile,’ she shared. 

‘It’s Ines looking quietly dominant as she pulls his hand to move from their pose and in another pic she is even seen wiping or picking his face with her thumb in another dominant-looking gesture.’

James wondered if there was a possibility that Brad is trying to ’emulate’ Clooney’s relationship – or if his romance with Ines really is the perfect fit. 

On the red carpet, there was one specific moment that stood out to James, too – and that was when he poked out his tongue during one pose with her

She pointed out that in past relationships, he has looked ‘performative,’ almost like he was playing a role in a movie. 

When he dated Gwyneth Paltrow, he became her ‘symbiotic twin,’ and with Jolie, he ‘morphed into one half of a cool, classy, sophisticated Hollywood power couple.’

‘Brad Pitt’s current body language suggests he’s still trying to find his authentic self,’ James admitted. 

The couple’s red carpet appearance comes just days after they made headlines for a star-studded double-date with Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Bradley Cooper.

The four of them were seen dining at Cote Korean Steakhouse in New York City, where Petrossian Royal Beluga Hybrid caviar goes for $870 a tin.

Brad stepped out in a shiny lavender silk shirt that was left partially unbuttoned to reveal some chest hair, as well as a buzz cut.

In May, Brad was forced to defend his girlfriend Ines in a rare comment as some rumors swirled. 

In an interview with GQ for the magazine’s 2025 Summer Issue — alongside F1 co-stars Damson Idris and Lewis Hamilton — Pitt was asked whether their appearance at a Formula 1 race was intentionally timed to promote the film.

‘If you’re living—oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you’re living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve.’

He also spoke about the fact that his personal life is a part of the headlines, noting it’s been part of his reality for decades.

‘My personal life is always in the news. It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way.’ 

Since his divorce from Jolie, he has been in the headlines for some drama involving his kids.

He shares Zahara, 20, Maddox, 23, and Pax, 21 – whom he adopted with Jolie. The former couple also welcomed biological children Shiloh, 19, as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 16. 

Following a lengthy eight-year battle, the pair’s divorce was officially finalized late last year in December.
