‘Josh and his wife were just beginning their life together – newly married and preparing to leave for their long-awaited honeymoon,’ the GoFundMe read.
‘Now, instead of celebrating their future, she is faced with unimaginable loss and the emotional and financial burdens that follow.’
Wines’ father told FOX 9 that the couple had tied the knot last fall and were meant to take off on their honeymoon the next morning.
Event organizers have canceled a similar event on Saturday, and hosting a vigil for Wines instead.
County Sheriff Wayne Seiberlich told the Star Tribune Sunday that his office launched an investigation into the reason behind the crash – but that it is not considered a ‘criminal investigation’ at this point.
‘At this time, this is not a criminal investigation,’ Sheriff Seiberlich said. ‘We will consult with our County Attorney’s Office Monday.’
