Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson famously had a fiery relationship that burned out just as quickly as it began. 

The unexpected couple got together in May 2018, shortly after splitting from their longtime partners. They quickly got engaged, but broke up less than five months later in October. The Dangerous Woman hitmaker’s relationship with the Saturday Night Live star was said to be strained following the apparent drug overdose death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. 

The Wicked star has since moved on with her co-star Ethan Slater but their coupling was not without controversy.

In March 2023, Grande divorced her then-husband, real estate broker Dalton Gomez, while that September, Slater split from his now ex-wife and former high-school sweetheart Lilly-Jay, with whom he has a two-year-old son. Grande and Slater vehemently denied allegations cheated on their spouses with each other.

Davidson has famously been embroiled in plenty of high-profile relationships of his own ever since he parted ways with the pop star. He rebounded with Kate Beckinsale, who he has a 20 year age gap with, then dated indie actress Margaret Qualley, model Kaia Gerber, Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor, Kim Kardashian, and Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline. 

Now, Davidson, 31, has announced that he’s expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, 29, mere months after announcing their whirlwind romance – and insiders can exclusively reveal to Daily Mail how his ex Grande really feels about the revelation.

The insider told Daily Mail that Grande, 32, ‘is happy for Pete’ after learning about his good news. 

While the Boca Raton-born pop star ‘doesn’t know Elsie, she believes that Pete becoming a father is the exact thing that he needs in his life and that he will be a great dad.’ 

‘Everyone knows Pete’s father passed away in 9/11, and Pete will find it important to provide the best childhood possible for his child,’ the source continued. 

Davidson has previously opened up about losing his father, Scott, who worked as a firefighter in New York City and was one of the many emergency workers who rushed to the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

‘Pete is looking to give it his all because he knows more than anyone that nobody is promised tomorrow,’ the insider divulged. 

The source hinted that Grande ‘is hoping for the same good fortune to come her way someday in the future.’
