Katy Perry stuns in an elegant black minidress as she joins close friend Lauren Sánchez and her inner-circle for Balenciaga catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week – after painful split from Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry was in familiar company on Wednesday morning as she made a glamorous appearance at Paris Fashion Week. 

The American singer was joined by close friend Lauren Sánchez and the newly married presenter’s inner-circle of celebrity friends – notably Kim Kardashian and Vittoria Ceretti. 

Ensuring she was among the early arrivals as Basque fashion house Balenciaga prepared to unveil its latest fall-winter collection, Perry caught the eye in an elegant black minidress and matching heels. 

Accessorising tastefully, Perry teamed the look with a pair of clear lens spectacles, while her hair was styled with a side-parting and combed into a tight bun.  

The singer, 40, was making a front row appearance at the event just days after confirming her separation from long-term partner Orlando Bloom, with whom she raises daughter Daisy, four. 

Also in attendance, Sánchez greeted onlookers with a wave as she made her way inside the venue ahead of Wednesday’s presentation.

She was flanked by bodyguards while attending the event without billionaire husband Jeff Bezos. 

Instead, she was joined by her inner-circle of friends, among them Kim Kardashian – a notable attendee as she exchanged vows with the Amazon founder during a star-studded, two-day extravaganza in Venice on June 27. 

Ahead of the brand’s show in the French capital, the TV personality, 44, stepped out in a full white look including the designer’s classic long heeled boots – after wearing a similar pink outfit while out on Tuesday night. 

She previously starred in Balenciaga campaigns, walked in their show and accompanied former creative director Demna Gvasalia to the 2021 Met Gala. 

Last January Kim was named as Balenciaga’s new brand ambassador – a year after the brand sparked outrage by releasing an ad featuring children alongside various BDSM-themed items.

The reality star, who previously refused to cut ties with the brand but said she was ‘shaken and disgusted’ by the advert, posted a statement announcing her partnership with the label under its then creative director Demna.

The statement read: ‘For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments.

‘This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna.

Perry’s hair was combed back and styled with a side-parting, while clear lens spectacles served as her only notable accessory 

‘For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right. I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.’

Kim initially faced backlash for refusing to cut ties with the brand, despite her claiming to be ‘shaken’ and ‘disgusted’ by the images featured in its controversial 2022 advert. 

Since then, she has made her loyalty clear by participating in an ad for Balenciaga’s upcoming Summer 2024 collection.

Clearly embarrassed by the ill-judged campaign, Balenciaga took the drastic step of wiping its social media pages clean after the controversy.

‘I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened,’ the Los Angeles-born celebrity said in a statement on her Instagram page at the time.

She continued: ‘As a mother of four, I have been shaken by those disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and anything against it should have no place in our society – period.’

Also in attendance on Wednesday, Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti claimed her own share of the spotlight in a minimalist black outfit, offset with neutral makeup and and accentuated by a notable lack of accessories.

The Italian model, 27, greeted onlookers with a wave as she mingled with guests outside the venue before making her way inside. 

The event proved to be a reunion of sorts, with Sánchez also having entertained both Ceretti and Perry during her recent wedding party. 

While Ceretti was in attendance as the presenter exchanged vows with Bezos, close friend Perry – who missed the ceremony – later joined the newly married couple aboard their honeymoon yacht. 

Perry had previously joined Sánchez for her Paris bachelorette party – an event that also featured Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner.
