Costco is advising shoppers to inspect their items following an abundance of product recalls.
The chain sent out several notices last month informing members that companies have recalled a variety of products sold at stores nationwide.
Its latest notice was for the Anker Power Bank’s A1257 models after experts discovered potential issues with its lithium-ion battery cells from single vendors.
The product is similar to the Anker PowerCore Power Bank model A1263, sold between June 1, 2016 and December 31, 2022.
All Anker Power Bank owners are advised by the company to stop using them immediately if they’re affected.
Another product experts advise Costco members to stop using is the recalled Danby 8k U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner due to mold risks from slow water drainage.
Other recalled air conditioners were manufactured by brands like Midea, Comfort Aire, Danby, Frigidaire, Insignia, Keystone, LBG Products, Mr. Cool, Perfect Aire and Sea Breeze.
Midea’s U-Shape Window ACs took a massive hit after it was discovered that six of its models’ pooled water units showed possible signs of mold creation.

Power banks and air conditioners were not the only danger for Costco members.
Costco members who purchased Michelin Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric Tires sized 185/60R15C were informed they failed to meet safety standards for tire endurance.
According to the notice, the tires did not meet the standard because ‘chunks of tread rubber may detach from the shoulder block.’
Owners of Bridgestone Blizzak 6 Tires Size 235/40R19 may also have issues after it was discovered the items were missing a Department of Transportation (DOT) certification seal.
The DOT found that tires missing the seal may be more likely to crash.
The other item Costco suggests members get rid of immediately is BowFlex adjustable dumbbells due to the possibility of weight plates dislodging from the handle during use.
Costco also sent out notices for 18-packs of Topo Chico Mineral Water from select locations in five states.
The membership-only chain has time windows on certain products. Customers returning electronics have a 90-day return window, and some returns may depend on warranties.

Many items have been recalled this year.
The automobile industry has taken a massive hit with over one million vehicles being recalled so far.
Ford recalled approximately 534,755 vehicles last month, and Nissan is recalling over 480,000 cars in the US and Canada.
Publix issued two recalls of ground beef in less than a week over concerns the food contained ‘foreign material.’
Other major recalls this year include vitamins sold at Target and Walmart, an entire line of defibrillators, and blueberries distributed by Alma Pak International LLC.
