
Tori Spelling and her estranged husband Dean McDermott owe a bank nearly $400,000 stemming from an unpaid 13-year-old loan for more than $395,000, according to a new lawsuit.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 52, and Toronto-born actor, 58, were named in a six-figure lawsuit City National Bank filed last week in Los Angeles.
Spelling and McDermott initially took out the loan in 2012 for $400,000, the bank said in the lawsuit, adding that the pair ‘have failed to satisfy their obligations … under the terms of the promissory note.’
Spelling’s past financial issues have made headlines: The daughter of late Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling and wife Candy Spelling publicly contemplated starting an Only Fans account less than a year ago as a means of paying for her kids’ college tuitions.
Spelling – who played Donna Martin on the 90s Fox staple her late father created – is also less than two years removed from living with her kids in an RV in Ventura County, California amid the cashflow concerns.
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for both parties for further comment on the story. US Weekly was first to report the story.

Four years later in 2016, the bank filed paperwork with the court stating that the couple was in debt more than $188,000 and had violated the pact they had previously agreed to.
A judgment was issued against Spelling and McDermott on May 22, 2017 for $220,088.37, Page Six reported after reviewing legal docs.
A court awarded the bank more than $400,000 from Spelling and McDermott in a 2019 judgment, according to the outlet.
Tori was assessed a sum to pay of $219,796.66 while Dean was assessed $202,066.10 for the unpaid loan and subsequent charges, the outlet reported after reviewing court docs.
Spelling – who is dating reality star Ryan Cramer – is mother to five children with McDermott: Liam Aaron, 18, Stella Doreen, 17, Hattie Margaret, 13, Finn Davey, 12, and Beau Dean, eight; McDermott is also father to son Jack, 26, with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace, 63.
McDermott, who has been seen in films such as Foibles and Open Range, did not appear to be rattled by the collection efforts, as he spoke about his passion for yoga in a clip he posted Monday to Instagram Stories.
McDermott, who’s been seen on shows such as Due South, Tracker and Earth: Final Conflict, wore a T-shirt that read,’ Stuck between Namaste and Kiss My A**.’
‘This is where I find myself living a lot,’ he said. ‘I try to go more to Namaste and not so much to kiss my a**, but I wanted to share this.’

The news of the lawsuit came a day after Spelling honored McDermott on Father’s Day

McDermott spread positivity to his 138,000-plus followers, saying, ‘If no one’s told you that they love you today, I’m telling you right now, I love you guys, and you’re all f***ing rock stars!’
Spelling said in court docs she and McDermott had separated on June 17, 2023, listing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as her reason for the split.
Spelling in legal docs had requested sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their five children.
She also requesed McDermott provide her with spousal support and reimburse her legal fees in the matter.
The former couple had documented their 17-year-plus union on the TV shows Tori & Dean: Inn Love and Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
