Reese Witherspoon’s nepo baby Ava Phillippe was mortified after her followers pointed out an awkward detail about herself and her live-in boyfriend since September, Dakota Brubaker, on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old LBI Entertainment model decided to respond to a comment from TikTok user @mahriahlee which called them ‘Reese & Ryan’ – implying they resembled the 49-year-old Oscar winner and her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
Ava – who’s named after Ava Gardner – visibly cringed reacting to the comment, waving her hands no, while Dakota looked equally uncomfortable.
‘You guys,’ Phillippe scoffed in the caption. ‘Whaaaaattt.’
However, the Kamala Harris supporter also leaned into the comparison by having the anthem from her famous folks’ 1999 movie Cruel Intentions – The Verve’s 1997 hit Bittersweet Symphony – blaring in the background.
And Brubaker wore glasses and a black turtleneck to more authentically evoke Ryan’s character Sebastian Valmont, who seduces the innocent Annette Hargrove (Reese) in Roger Kumble’s modern adaptation of the 1782 novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Phillippe began her modeling career at age 19 in 2018 for Rodarte’s Fall lookbook.
The Planned Parenthood campaigner went on to star in campaigns for Ivy Park, Pat McGrath Labs, and Vince Camuto as well as Reese’s clothing company, Draper James.
Ava – 1.1M Instagram/TikTok followers – is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like the Michael Kors, Dior Beauty, Fendi, Clarins, and Golden Goose.
Meanwhile, the UC Berkeley grad – whose stage name is Vindigo – has been recording his first-ever full-length studio album over the past two months.
